The Z180 is another product co-invented by our customers. The need to fill a gap in the range with such a machine was dictated by the changing requirements for minimum pipe diameters for all kinds of installations, from water supply to gas and ICT. Up until a few years ago, the most popular ‘moles’ were the 130-mm-diameter moles, which are ideally suited to the installation of Ø110mm pipe. But recently, the need to install Ø160mm pipes has become more and more common. The Z180 mole is mainly designed for pulling in Ø160mm plastic pipes, as well as for driving in casing steel pipes with diameters up to 406mm. Like all the other ‘moles’ in the Z family, it has a reverse gear (reverse) controlled pneumatically by a lever located on the oiler, so its operation is also simple and safe. Further advantages are the low air requirement, compatibility with attachments from the Z130 and Z160 and the precision and speed of operation.
